2021 Softball All-Southwestern Conference Honors

The Southwestern Conference announced the 2021 softball individual award winners and All-Southwestern Conference teams, as selected by the conference coaches. Amherst Steele’s Cassidy Kettleman was named the Most Valuable Player.  Lacey Reichert of Amherst Steele and Mike Mease of North Ridgeville were named this year’s Coaches of the Year.

Amherst Steele Earns Weekly SWC Softball Player of the Week Honors

Following games on April 12th – April 18th, the softball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Amherst Steele

The Comets’ centerfielder has been on a tear from the plate.  Kettleman was 17 of 25 last week with seven doubles, a home run, 14 runs batted in and 10 runs scored as the Comets improved to 13-2 overall on the season.

Other Notable Performances

Chloe Howlett (Sr), Westlake
The senior lead-off hitter for the Demons was 14 of 20 from the plate last week with two doubles, two triples, nine RBI, seven runs scored, and seven stolen bases.
