North Ridgeville High School junior Naomi Bottomlee was named the 2024 Southwestern Conference Most Valuable Player following the conclusion of the SWC Softball season.

North Ridgeville Head Coach Amy McMillan was selected 2024 SWC Coach of the Year.

The SWC awarded 12 position players and 2 pitchers first team honors and 13 position players and 2 pitchers second team recognition in softball. Each school also received two honorable mention selections.

The Southwestern Conference released its Softball Athlete of the Week for March 22 – April 7 this evening. Below is this week’s honoree:

Brooke is off to a great start in her comeback from a scary injury a year ago. She has 8 hits and 12 RBI in her first 12 at-bats over three games. Largent has added two doubles, a triple, two stolen bases and five runs scored. She was 4-for-4 with 5 RBI and two doubles against Firelands.

Other Notable Performances:

Breckyn Daniel (Sr.), Berea-Midpark
Has batted .667 (6-for-9) with two doubles only one strikeout and 4 RBI over the first few games.

Naomi Bottomlee (Jr.), North Ridgeville
Posted an 11-strikeout performance in a win over Avon and currently has a 1.00 ERA.
