2021 Girls Golf All-Southwestern Conference Honors

The Southwestern Conference announced the 2021 girls golf individual award winners and All-Southwestern Conference teams, as selected by the conference coaches. Avon’s Aubrie Rush was named Golfer of the Year.  Aaron Millet of Avon was named this year’s Coach of the Year.

Amherst and Avon Lake Earn SWC Golfer of the Week Honors


Following golf matches on September 13th – September 19th the boys and girls golfers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:

Female Golfer of the Week
Sophie Petrus (Sr)
Avon Lake
Quickly turning into Avon Lake’s top golfer, Petrus shot a 44 against Amherst and a 40 against Midview in SWC contests during the week.  The senior posted a 94 in her 18 holes at Canterbury.

Male Golfer of the Week
Ryan Yoder (So)
Amherst Steele
In three matches last week, Yoder shot a collective five under par.  The sophomore set a school record for lowest 9-hole score Thursday with a 3-under at Pine Brook Golf Course.
