Avon High School withstood tough weather conditions to capture is second straight Southwestern Conference (SWC) Girls Golf Tournament title Wednesday (September 28) at Springvale Golf Course in North Olmsted.
The Eagles complied 354 strokes from its top four scorers at the event. Senior medalist Aubrie Rush, who fired a 1-under 69, led the way, while Madigan O’Leary (82) finished runner-up. Allie Day (99) also contributed to the win, while Rivya Veena and Elly Huron both shot 104.
Avon Lake High School finished second as a team with 364 strokes. Olivia Tobin paced the Shoregals with an 85, while Ava Lamb and Sarah Quayle both had rounds of 92.
