The Southwestern Conference released its Girls Tennis Athlete of the Week for September 19-24 this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Senior
Whary jumped up to second singles and rallied for a three-set win over Lake Ridge to secure the team’s victory on Monday. She also participated in second doubles and took third place at the SWC Tournament on Tuesday.

Finished fourth in first singles at the SWC Championship then defeated Lakewood and Lake Ridge Academy.

Amelia Tomak (Senior), Avon
The co-captain improved t0 21-1 overall at both doubles and singles this season. She won the SWC Tournament at third singles.
