The Southwestern Conference released its Softball Athlete of the Week for April 8-14 this evening. Below is this week’s honoree:

Emma batted 1.000 over two games last week. She went 3-for-3 with 3 runs scored, a walk and 2 RBI against Avon Lake and then 3-for-3 with a run scored, 4 RBI and 2 doubles against Elyria.
Other Notable Performances:
Briana Webster (Fr.), Avon Lake
Batted .625 (5-for-8) for the week with a double and a triple, as well as 1 walk, 1 RBI, and 2 stolen bases. The catcher also threw out 2-of-3 runners attempting to steal.
Maddie Booth (Jr.), Berea-Midpark
Went 2-0 with 26 strikeouts while allowing 6 runs on 9 hits over 18 innings last week.
Morgan Palos (Jr.), Elyria
Batted.571 (4-for-7) with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles, and 1 RBI. Defensively, she had 6 putouts and 6 assists.
