Following swim meets on January 4th-10th swimmers and divers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Sarah Tomasch (Jr)
Olmsted Falls
Tomasch won 3 individual events on the week winning the 200IM against North Olmsted and North Ridgeville and both the 100 and 200 Freestyle against Amherst Steele to help the Bulldogs go 3-0 on the week.
Male Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Justin Farmer (Sr)
Amherst-Steele
Two individual event wins and two relay wins, Farmer helped paced the Comets. The senior won both the 50 and 100 Freestyle against Olmsted Falls this past week, and was a member of both winning 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relay teams.
Other Notable Performances
Ryan Flaherty (So), Avon
The sophomore diver set a new Avon school record with his performance last week at Berea-Midpark High School.
Jackson Stump (Fr), Olmsted Falls
Stump won five individual events in three meets last week. The freshman won the 100 Butterfly against Strongsville, both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke against North Olmsted and North Ridgeville, and then capped the week off with victories in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly against Amherst Steele.
