Southwestern Conference Sportsmanship and Scholar Athletes of January

Each month, the Southwestern Conference will recognize student-athletes who are excelling in the classroom as well as those who have demonstrated the highest levels of integrity and sportsmanship.  For January, the SWC recognizes the following student-athletes:

Scholar Athletes of the Month

Evan Draga
Amherst Steele High School
Boys Soccer / Boys Track & Field

Evan Draga carries a 4.365 grade point average into his final year. The National Honor Society member, Class of 2023 President and SWC Scholar-Athlete is currently enrolled in AP Biology, AP English Literature and Composition and Physics 2. Draga, who is captain of the Track & Field team, is also an AP Scholar with Honor, Academic All-Ohio and High Honor Roll recipient with the Comets.



Moose FrombachMoose Frombach
Avon High School
Football / Boys Basketball / Boys Track & Field

Moose Frombach carries a 4.2 cumulative grade point average into his final school year. The National Honor Society member is currently enrolled in AP Chemistry, AP Calculus and Ceramics. Frombach is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Big Brother program as well a class officer. He also teaches Sunday School at Bay Presbysterian.

Sportsmanship Athletes of the Month

James Jones

Olmsted Falls High School
Boys Soccer / Bowling / Baseball

Despite dealing with an injury James Jones shows up to practices and matches to help his fellow teammates. He exhibits quality sportsmanship in each of the three sports that he is involved in. Jones is active in Student Principal Advisory Committee, National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, Helping Hands Soccer Academy and with local youth soccer camps.
