Southwestern Conference Sportsmanship and Scholar Athletes of February

Each month, the Southwestern Conference will recognize student-athletes who are excelling in the classroom as well as those who have demonstrated the highest levels of integrity and sportsmanship.  For February the SWC recognizes the following student-athletes:

Scholar Athletes of the Month

Ryan Scott
Senior
Elyria High School
Wrestling

Ryan Scott carries a 3.925 grade point average into his final semester. The member of Key Club and Unified Sports is currently enrolled in Introduction to Engineering Design amongst other core classes. Scott is also active with the Elyria Youth Wrestling program.

 

Lilly Kekic
Senior
Berea-Midpark High School
Volleyball / Track and Field

Lilly Kekic carries a 4.529 cumulative grade point average into her final semester. She has enrolled in AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Government, AP Psychology and AP US History. Kekic has also taken CCP ELA, PLTW Biomedial and 5 years of Spanish.

Jacob Gregory

Boys Basketball

Jacob Gregory is a member Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Love Club. He is active in his community through A Special Wish, Wreaths Across America and St. Mary’s Holiday Kitchen. Jacob is also a participant in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which is the leading global organization harnessing the power of research, advocacy, and community engagement to advance life-changing breakthroughs for type 1 diabetes.

Olivia Poltorek

Girls Basketball

Olivia Poltorek is a member Champions 4 Life and Varsity R. She volunteers with the Rangers’ Youth Basketball program. The team captain is hard working and always supportive of her teammates.
