Following football games on October 8th the football player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Football Player of the Week
Jakorion Caffey (So)
Avon
The sophomore running back absolutely went off Friday night at Berea-Midpark to help the Eagles reclaim a spot at the top of the standings. Caffey found the end zone six times in the victory, rushing for 180 yards.
Other Notable Performances
Isaiah Johnson (Jr), Elyria
Johnson had a big game against Avon Lake, recording three sacks to go along with nine tackles.
Marc Reed (Jr), Midview
The Midview quarterback was 17-of-26 for 257 yards and three passing touchdowns to go along with his one rushing touchdown last Friday night.
