Avon earned its first Southwestern Conference girls soccer title Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over Amherst Steele. Trailing 1-0, senior Mackenzie Muir scored in the 53rd and 70th minute to put the Eagles ahead for good.
The Eagles finished the SWC slate of the schedule with a perfect 7-0 mark. Their play has earned them the No. 4 seed in the Division 1 Northeast District Tournament where they will host the winner of Midview and North Olmsted on October 23rd.
