Following games on April 12th – April 18th, the baseball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Mally Kilbane (Sr)
Olmsted Falls
The bulldog senior threw a no-hitter against Midview last week. In his seven innings, Kilbane walked two and struck out eleven. From the plate, the senior was 6 of 15 on the week, with a double and four runs batted in.
Other Notable Performances
Ryan Starr (Sr), Avon
Starr threw two complete games last week for the Eagles. Against Westlake, the senior had 14 strikeouts with only three walks in the 6-1 victory. In a 3-1 loss to Avon Lake, Starr only gave up four hits and three walks while striking out six.
Giano Zuccaro (Sr), Berea-Midpark
Zuccaro has homered in his last three games for the Titans. The senior centerfielder was 7 of 12 from the plate during conference play last week, including three home runs, two doubles and four RBI.
