The Southwestern Conference released its Baseball Athlete of the Week for May 8-14 this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Ethan batted .571 (4-for-7) with a double, 2 runs scored and 6 RBI last week. He had the go-ahead, two-run single in the top of the 10th against Avon Lake to help the Rangers clinch the SWC title, which was their first league championship in 41 years.

Batted .444 (8-for-18) with a .524 on-base percentage, 8 hits including a home run, 3 runs scored and 6 RBI.
Nick Walsh (Jr.), Olmsted Falls
Batted .444 (4-for-9) with a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. He also threw out two runners attempting to steal last week.
