Following bowling matches on January 25th-January 31st, bowlers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Bowlers of the Week
Hannah Aschenbach (So)
Amherst Steele
In a big week for the Comets, Aschenbach rolled a 421 series (208/213) against Berea-Midpark and a 319 series (171/148) against Open Door. Over the weekend, the sophomore won the individual title at the North Shore Bowling Conference Tournament with a three-game series 715 (232/214/269).
Other Notable Performances
Emma Diedrich (Sr), Berea-Midpark
The Titan senior bowled an average game of 191 for the week. Against Amherst she had a 429 series (195/234) and a 371 series against North Ridgeville (204/167). At the North Shore Bowling Conference Tournament, Diedrich finished fourth overall with a three-game series of 541 (203/15/184).
Male Bowler of the Week
JP Gregory (So)
Amherst Steele
Gregory won the North Shore Bowling Conference Tournament individual title with a three-game series of 735 (266/171/298) on top of rolling a 393 series (180/213) against Berea-Midpark earlier in the week.
Other Notable Performances
Jack Finucane (Sr), Westlake
At the GCIBL Baker Tournament, Finucane rolled a 419 series (164/245) to pace the Demons.
