Following bowling matches on February 1st-February 7th, bowlers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Bowlers of the Week
Makayla Velasquez (Jr)
Amherst Steele
Velasquez led Amherst Steele to a conference title and was the individual champion with games of 214, 254, 214 for a 682 series. On monday at Rebmans the junior had games 192/204 for a 396 series and Wednesday at AMF Lanes Velasquez rolled games of 184/174 for a 358 series.
Male Bowler of the Week
Collin Ellis (Jr)
Berea-Midpark
Ellis led the Titans to a first place finish at the Southwest Conference Championship Tournament leading all individual scores with a high game of 275 and the high individual series of 740.
