The Southwestern Conference released its Softball Athlete of the Week for April 29 – May 5 this evening. Below is this week’s honoree:

Freshman
Savannah went 5-o on the mound all complete-game wins. She allowed 19 hits and 5 earned runs while striking out 40 over 28 innings pitched. Holcomb surpassed 100 strikeouts against Olmsted Falls. Offensively, she batted .529 (9-for-17) with 9 runs scored, 3 doubles, 2 triples and 7 RBI.

Mallory Kayes (Sr.), Avon
Went 3-0 with a save while allowing 1 earned run and striking out 29 over 21.2 innings pitched.
Jordyn Bechtold (Sr.), Berea-Midpark
Batted .692 (9-for-13) with 7 runs scored, 1 walk and 3 RBI last week.
Molly Walton (Jr.), North Ridgeville
Batted .625 (10-for-16) with 2 doubles, 5 runs scored, 2 stolen bases and 5 RBI over 4 games last week.
