Following games on May 2nd – May 8th, the softball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Kloie Troutman (So)
Elyria
The Pioneer infielder belted two big home runs on the week for Elyria. Troutman had a solo shot against Amherst Steele and then a big three run bomb in their game against Elyria Catholic. The sophomore finished the week with three runs scored, four RBI and six putouts from her third base position.
Other Notable Performances
Sam Peterkoski (Jr), Berea-Midpark
Peterkoski set the school record for runs scored in a season with 33. The junior centerfielder had a .467 average last week with two triples and four RBI.
