Following football games on September 24th the football player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Football Player of the Week
Luke Devins (Sr)
Berea-Midpark
Devins tied the Berea-Midpark school record for most touchdowns thrown in a game with six as he led the Titans to a Friday night victory over Amherst Steele. The senior quarterback threw for 401 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 78 yards and another score.
Other Notable Performances
Andrew Palos, (Sr), Elyria
Big night for the senior wideout who hauled in seven catches for 152 yards a score for the Pioneers.
Marc Reed (Jr), Midview
Reed guided the Middies to a week 6 victory over Avon Lake as the junior signal caller was 16-of-23 passing for 248 yards with one touchdown and two rushing touchdowns.
