Following games on December 21st-27th, the boys basketball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Boys Basketball Player of the Week
Charlie Ciolek (Jr)
Olmsted Falls
Ciolek averaged 16.5 points per game last week in wins over North Ridgeville and Mayfield. The junior guard averaged eight rebounds and 2.5 steals, being a consistent threat for the Bulldogs.
Other Notable Performances
Ty Weatherspoon (Sr), Amherst Steele
Weatherspoon scored 19 points (60% from the field) and grabbed eight rebounds in the Comets’ victory over North Olmsted.
Davonte Demionov (Jr), North Olmsted
North Olmsted’s Demionov averaged 15.5 points per game in addition to 7.5 rebounds and 5 assists per game in the Eagles’ two contests last week against Valley Forge and Amherst Steele (20 points and 10 rebounds).
