Each month, the Southwestern Conference will recognize student-athletes who are excelling in the classroom as well as those who have demonstrated the highest levels of integrity and sportsmanship. For April the SWC recognizes the following student-athletes:
Scholar Athletes of the Month
Briana Farkas
Senior
Midview High School
Softball
Briana Farkas carries a 4.20 cumulative grade point average into her final semester. The National Honor Society member and Academic M recipient is currently enrolled in College Composition, Anatomy and Physiology, College Medical Terminology, College French and College Psychology.
Farkas is a member of the Midview Band and the Superintendent Advisory Committee while also volunteering at city hall.
Annas Bolarinwa
Senior
Elyria High School
Boys Soccer / Boys Bowling / Boys Track and Field
Annas Bolarinwa carries a 3.8 cumulative grade point average into his final semester. The National Honor Society and Lorain County Alliance of Black School Educators (LCABSE) honoree is currently enrolled in Principles of Engineering and College Composition II.

Kaitlyn Sawchyn
Senior
Berea-Midpark High School
Girls Volleyball / Cheerleading
Kaitlyn Sawchyn was a captain for the Volleyball team and led them to a District Runner-up during her senior season. She also returned to Cheerleading in the winter this year. Sawchyn always displays positive energy and attitude in all that she does. She is also is a mentor to others as a part of Titans Unified Sports.
Molly Walton

Girls Volleyball / Softball
Molly Walton is a prime example of what North Ridgeville seeks in a student-athlete role model. She has a team-first approach and is always uplifting her fellow teammates and competitors.
Off the court and field Walton is a National Honor Society and Champions for Life member.
