The Southwestern Conference released its Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for December 4-10 this evening. Below is this week’s honoree:

Kayla posted 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in a double OT win over Avon. She scored 8 of her team’s 11 points in OT, including a game-tying 3-pointer with 5.0 seconds remaining in OT. The Lady Comets won the game with a buzzer-beating half-court shot by Natalie Pleban.
