Following gymnastics meets on January 31st – February 6th the gymnast of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Gymnast of the Week
Maddie Geiger (Jr)
Avon
Geiger set a personal best score of 9.2 on the floor at the State Line Tournament at the Summit County Fairgrounds to take second in the event. She placed third in the all-around at the meet, which had 12 schools attend.
Other Notable Performances
Elly Rauch (Sr), Avon Lake
Rauch performs with grace and confidence every time she competes for the Shoregals. This season she has averaged a score between 8.5-9.0 on both the floor and the beam for Avon Lake.
