Avon Lake Wins Boys Swimming Conference Championship

The Avon Lake boys swimming & diving team had a tremendous day in the Southwestern Conference Championships, winning the title outright for the first time in 21 years on Saturday evening at the Robert F. Busby Natatorium at Cleveland State University.

The Shoremen finished the day with 418 points, while Avon placed second with 229 points, edging out Amherst Steele (201). Berea-Midpark ended up in fourth place (196) and Olmsted Falls took fifth-place honors (155).
