Following gymnastics meets on January 24th – January 30th the gymnast of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Reilly Small (So)
Avon
Small continues to be one of the highest scoring athletes for the Eagles. This past week she won beam at a dual against Buckeye which helped lead Avon to a first place finish. She has placed top 5 in every single meet this season, with wins on beam and vault. Her scores helped the team set a new school record of 138.50.
Other Notable Performances
Megan Cullins (Sr), Berea-Midpark
Competing on senior night, Cullins set personal bests on the beam (8.85/5th), bars (7.6) and All-Around (33.1). She contributed to the team’s second place finish.
Alyssa Powers (Fr), North Ridgeville
Rehabbing from an off-season surgery, Powers has placed second on bars as well as hitting on all four events which contributed to the Rangers highest team total in school history.
Carley Abbott (Jr), Olmsted Falls
Abbot debuted in the all-around this past week and finished sixth overall. She was seventh on the vault and placed sixth in the floor exercise.
