Following wrestling matches on January 10th – January 16th the wrestler of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

North Ridgeville
Counts went 4-0 over the weekend at the Spartan Invitational to win the 132 pound championship. The senior had two pins, an overtime decision and a tech fall against the #12 ranked 132 pound wrestler in Division 2 to win the title.
Other Notable Performances
Ty Daugherty (Sr), Avon
Daugherty finished seventh overall at the Maumee Bay Classic. The senior beat several ranked opponents, including a 6-5 decision over a state placer from Lebanon.
