Following bowling matches on November 16th-22nd, bowlers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Bowler of the Week
Makayla Velasquez (Jr)
Amherst Steele
The junior bowler rolled series of 522 (245/277) and 420 (203/217) in victories over Firelands and Elyria Catholic to lead the Comets to a 2-0 start in the 2020-21 season.
Other Notable Performances
Kilee Falish (So), Avon
First year bowler Kilee Falish rolled a series of 433 (209/224) to help the Eagles defeat Open Door Christian in their season opener.
Male Bowler of the Week
Antonio Rodriguez (Sr)
Amherst Steele
The senior helped the Comets to a 2-0 start on the season with a series of 493 (257/236) against Firelands and rolled a 374 (168/206) against Elyria Catholic.
Other Notable Performances
Ben Scheeff (So), Olmsted Falls
Scheeff rolled games of 218 and 217 (435 series) against Lutheran West on Saturday to help the Bulldogs get their first victory of the season.
