The Southwestern Conference released its Boys Cross Country Athlete of the Week for September 18-23 this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Jared began the week by winning the 2-mile home dual against North Ridgeville to help the Middies defeat the Rangers for the first time in the 9-year event. He then became the first Midview boys runner on record to win an invite when he took home the title with a meet record and personal record 16:09 at the Patriot Invitational. It was also the Middies’ first team championship in known history
