The Southwestern Conference released its Athletes of the Week for August 31 – September 5 this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees.
Boys Football Athlete of the Week
Noah Rivera
Midview
Sophomore
Noah had touchdown receptions of 36 yards and 11 yards while also adding a long interception return to setup another score in the Middies’ at Elyria Catholic.

Nathan Peters (Sr.), Avon
Compiled 8 total tackles, 1 interception, 1 touchdown and 1 quarterback pressure for the Eagle defense.
Boys Golf Athlete of the Week
Jack Hecei
Avon
Senior
Jack shot a three-under-par 32 on the Gold Course of Bob-O-Link in a victory over Amherst Steele.
Girls Tennis Athlete of the Week
Isabella Gentile
Avon
Junior
Isabella went 5-0 on the week. She defeated Elyria in singles and also won the LCAAA doubles bracket at 4th doubles to improve to 18-1 on the season.
Girls Volleyball Athlete of the Week
Kendyl Gregor
Midview
Senior
Kendyl eclipsed the 1,000 career dig milestone last week during Midview’s win over North Ridgeville. She posted 45 digs against the Rangers and then added 26 more in a victory over Avon and 17 against Lakewood.
