
Avon Lake High School won the 2026 Southwestern Conference Wrestling Tournament Championship Saturday (February 14) on the campus of Midview High School. The Shoremen, who compiled 228 points, captured five individual titles en route to its fourth straight tournament crown. [Complete Results]
Winning individual championships for Avon Lake were Nate Grieger (120), Brayden Patterson (150), Luke Pearce (165), Aide Omoijuanfo (175) and Landen Kunzelman (190).
By virtue of going undefeated in conference duals and taking first place at the SWC Tournament, Avon Lake also won the title outright for the 2025-26 season.
Elyria High School finished runner-up at the Tournament with 131.5 points, followed by third-place Avon with 122.5 points and fourth place Olmsted Falls with 112.5 points.
