The Southwestern Conference released its Girls Tennis Athlete of the Week for August 1-16 this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Senior
Kayla is off to a 4-0 start at first singles. She has straight sets wins over Berea-Midpark, Avon Lake, Glenoak and a 2024 district qualifier at Strongsville. Bussard also paired with freshman Sienna Nagy and was runner-up at the Norwalk Doubles Tournament.

The first singles player is 3-0 with wins over North Ridgeville and Brecksville-Broadview Heights as well as a thrilling three-set win over Brunswick.
