The Southwestern Conference released its Gymnastics Athlete of the Week for December 23 – January 5 this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Sophomore
Kenzie led the team to a second place finish at the season-opening Flip for the Cure Meet. She placed first on Vault and Bars, second on Beam, and seventh on Floor to earn All-Around Champion of her session with a score of 36.05.
Other Notable Performances:
Alyssa Powers (Sr.), North Ridgeville
Finished third in the All-Around by placing second on the Floor (8.85), Vault (9.05) and Beam (8.8) while fifth on Bars (7.8) at Hudson Winter Classic. She then took third overall after finishing second on Vault (8.7), fourth on Floor (8.7) and sixth on Beam (8.15) at the Wooster Invitational.
