Southwestern Conference Sportsmanship and Scholar-Athletes of November

Each month, the Southwestern Conference will recognize student-athletes who are excelling in the classroom as well as those who have demonstrated the highest levels of integrity and sportsmanship. For November the SWC recognizes the following student-athletes:

Scholar Athletes of the Month

Lillian Videc
Senior
Berea-Midpark High School
Girls Golf

Lilliam Videc carries a 4.679 cumulative grade point average into her fifth semester. The National Honor Society member is currently enrolled AP English Literature & Composition, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, AP Statistics, CCP Ohio History and Honors Economics.

Videc is also a member of Key Club, Link Crew, Book Club, Nature Club, Chinese Honor Society, Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, Female Athlete Leadership Team and volunteers at Playhouse Square.

Alvin Zheng
Senior
North Ridgeville High School
Boys Cross Counry / Boys Tennis

Alvin Zheng carries a 4.5 cumulative grade point average into his fifth semester. The top-ranked student in the Class of 2025 and High Honor Roll member is enrolled into AP Physics, AP Computer Science & Principles, AP Calculus and AP Macroeconomics.

Boys Cross Country

Luke Runion has been one of Elyria Cross Country’s leaders all year long. He is always doing whatever he can to help the team be successful. Runion is giving of his time, is a motivator and supportive of his teammates and fellow competitors.

Outside of Cross Country, Runion is involved in Orchestra and 4-H and is a summer camp advisor.


Molly Cleis
Senior

Midview High School
Cheerleading

Molly Cleis is the captain of the 2024-25 Cheerleading squad, the President of Best Buddies and a four-year member of Midview Sparkle. Both clubs promote the inclusion of individuals with disabilities. Molly also works with at-risk elementary students to help them be successful as well as Midview Youth Cheerleading. She is also active in Drama Club, Student Council, Link Crew, National Honor Society, Hall of Honor and serves as a North Eaton Christian Church Sunday School volunteer.
