The Southwestern Conference released its Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Week for September 23-28 this evening. Below is this week’s honoree:

Sophomore
Liana ran a lifetime best 20:37 to finish as the Comet’s #3 runner Saturday at Madison. Her efforts helped Amherst tie for third at the 18 team invitational. Her time was almost a minute faster than she ran in the same meet a year ago and 20 seconds better than her previous personal record.
