The Southwestern Conference released its Boys Bowling Athlete of the Week for December 5-11 this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Boys Bowling Athlete of the Week
Jayden Miller
Berea-Midpark
Sophomore
Miller bowled 431 series (246 game) to help lead the Titans in a win on Monday. He then rolled a 660 series (266 game) to lead them to a Eagle Challenge championship. Individually, he placed seventh at the event.
Other Notable Performances
Micah Mercado (Sophomore), Amherst
Bowled a 490 series (24 game) on Monday and 416 series (216 game) on Wednesday.
Jake Love (Junior), Avon
Bowled a 672 series (personal-best 267 game) to finish fifth at the Eagle Challenge.
Jacek Gomez (Junior), Avon Lake
Rolled 12 strikes in a row over two games for a 460 series (80 pins over average) in league play. He then placed 38th at the Eagle Challenge.
Steven Demchak (Sophomore), Olmsted Falls
Bowled a 450 series during the week and a 680 series at the Eagle Challenge.
