Olmsted Falls Earns Weekly SWC Softball Player of the Week Honors

Following games on May 9th – May 15th, the softball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Syd Ott (Jr)
Olmsted Falls
In five games last week for the Bulldogs, Ott had an average of .667 with a home run, double, seven runs batted in, two runs scored and two stolen bases.  The team captain recorded 12 putouts and a double play from her third base position.

Other Notable Performances

Kaylee Kuwalu (Sr), Avon Lake
Avon Lake’s Kuwalu finished her final week of softball with a .667 average, a triple, double and two singles.  She had an RBI, two runs scored and five stolen bases on the week for the Shoregals.

Sam Peterkoski (Jr), Berea-Midpark
Berea-Midpark’s center fielder was 6-of-8 last week with a double, two triples, two RBI, five runs scored and six stolen bases.

Morgan Palos (Fr), Elyria
Palos hit .500 on the week for Elyria with six runs, seven RBI and a home run.

Naomi Bottomlee (Fr), North Ridgeville
Another freshman on the list of notable performances this week, Bottomlee was 4-for-4 last week with five RBI, two walks, and four runs scored for the Rangers.
