Avon Lake Earns Weekly SWC Baseball Player of the Week Honors

Following games on April 25th – May 1st, the baseball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honorees:

Drew Graham (So)
Avon Lake
Graham was 8-of-11 from the plate this week for the Shoremen, with 8 runs driven in.  He had three doubles, and three runs scored.  On the hill, the sophomore pitched four innings against St. Ignatius striking out five.

Other Notable Performances

Gavin Ehrhardt (Jr), Avon
The junior went six innings against Berea-Midpark, striking out five and giving up only three hits in a 7-0 victory.  He hit .375 on the week with a .583 on base percentage with a double, two runs and four walks.

Jordan Holmber (Sr), Elyria
The Pioneer senior had three doubles on the week with a .400 average (4-for-10) with a .455 on base percentage and a .700 slugging percentage.

Ryan Romito (Sr), North Ridgeville
Romito pitched a complete game win against Midview last week, giving up zero earned runs and striking out seven in the appearance.

Aiden Neff (So), Olmsted Falls
In a win over Amherst last week, Neff went the distance in a complete game shutout.  The sophomore only gave up two hits and struck out four in the win.
