Amherst Steele and Midview Earn Bowler of the Week Honors

Following matches on January 10th – January 16th the boys and girls bowlers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:

Female Bowler of the Week
Hannah Aschenbach (Jr)
Amherst Steele
The Lady Comets continue to impress on the lanes this winter.  Hannah Aschenbach bowled a 408 series (172/236) on Monday and a 441 series (225/216) on Wednesday which put her 77 pins over her average for the week.

Other Notable Performances

Allison Taylor (So), Amherst Steele
Taylor rolled an impressive 515 series against North Olmsted at Nautical Lanes last week, with games of 237 and 278

Lola King (So), North Ridgeville
First year JV bowler, Lola King continues to lead her team with a 253 series on Monday and a 229 series on Wednesday.  The sophomore remains focused to become a better bowler every time she steps on the lanes and has helped the JV Rangers to remain undefeated this season.

Alex Fedyszyn (So)
Midview
Notable mention last week and conference honors this week.  Alex Fedyszyn’s strong sophomore season continued with a 477 series (233/244) in Midview’s win over Black River, where he rolled 61 pins over average.

Other Notable Performances

Brenton Dill (Jr), Avon
Dill rolled a 430 series against North Ridgeville and a 438 series against Luthern West last week to guide Avon to an 11-1 record.

Sean Gallagher (Fr), Avon Lake
Gallagher rolled 84 pins over his average this past week with a high game of 234.
