Following meets on December 6th – December 12th the boys and girls swimmers/divers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Rayna Swope (Jr)
Avon
The Avon junior finished the week with nine wins and three second place finishes in the Eagles’ victories over Avon Lake, Chardon and Solon this past week. Swope set PRs in the 50 Butterfly (27.2), the 100 Butterfly (1:01.2) and the 100 Backstroke (1:02.3) to guide Avon.
Male Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Jackson Stump (So)
Olmsted Falls
Stump set a new Olmsted Falls record by 1.5 seconds in the 100 Butterfly on way to sweeping four events in wins over North Ridgeville and Elyria. The sophomore won the 100 Backstroke and was a part of the winning 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay.
Other Notable Performances
Grant Higgins (So), Avon
Higgins broke Avon’s diving record with a 232.20 in his performance against Avon Lake. Th sophomore broke the record by 23 points.
Andrew Margolin (Jr), North Ridgeville
Margolin won five events this week (200 Freestyle, 50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly) for the Rangers.
