Following meets on September 27th – October 3rd the boys and girls cross country runners of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Cross Country Runner of the Week
Catherine Turner (Jr)
Amherst Steele
Competing at the Madison Invitational, Catherine ran a 19:33 to finish seventh overall at the 23 team invite. Her time was a 30 second improvement on her personal best and 15th fastest time in school history.
Male Cross Country Runner of the Week
Ty Perez (So)
Amherst Steele
Perez finished 4th out of 182 runners at the Obenour Invitational this weekend with a time of 16:16.6.
