Following volleyball games on August 29th – September 5th the volleyball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Volleyball Player of the Week
Riley Victor (Sr)
Olmsted Falls
Six rotation player for Olmsted Falls helped the Bulldogs improve to 10-0 this season, with wins over Elyria and Avon, both in straight sets, this past week. Victor was 63-of-70 attacking, with 27 kills. From the service line, the senior was 24-of-25 with five aces while also recording nine digs.
Other Notable Performances
Lindsey McConihe (Jr), Amherst Steele
On the week, the Amherst Steele libero posted 45 digs, 28 serve receive, eight aces from the service line and eight assists.
Deja Whitten (Sr), Elyria
Elyria’s middle hitter posted 31 kills and recorded three solo and eight assisted blocks on the week.
