Following soccer games on August 22nd – August 29th the boys and girls soccer players of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honorees:
Female Soccer Player of the Week
Juliet Seng (Sr)
Amherst Steele
Comets midfielder Juliet Seng scored four goals and dished one assist in Amherst Steele’s opening night victory over Fairview Park.
Other Notable Performances
Ella Grode (So), Avon Lake
Grode scored two game winning goals for the Shoregals on the week and is the team leader with five goals scored on the season. The sophomore scored the game winner against Louisville and then scored both goals in Avon Lake’s 2-1 victory over Westlake.
Male Soccer Player of the Week
Trent Roose (Sr)
Midview
The senior midfielder recorded a hat trick in Midview’s 5-0 victory over Willoughby South.
Other Notable Performances
Allen Prechtel (Sr), Elyria
Prechtel scored twice in Elryia’s 5-1 victory over Parma, to move the Pioneers to 2-0-1 on the season.
Logan Margolin (So), North Ridgeville
North Ridgeville sophomore Logan Margolin scored twice, including the game winner in the Rangers’ victory over Nordonia last week.
