Following golf matches on August 16th – August 21st the boys and girls golfers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Golfer of the Week
Ashley Hubert (Sr)
Avon Lake
Hubert recorded her first ever hole-in-one at Brentwood Golf Course this past week. The senior used her pitching wedge on hole no. 2, driving the 99 yards for the accomplishment. Hubert finished the round with a 40, scored a 41 at Seneca Golf Course against Berea-Midpark, shot an 87 in the Magnificat Invitational and an 89 at the Independence Tournament at Shawnee.
Male Golfer of the Week
Danny Donegan (Sr)
Avon Lake
Donegan currently sits at the top of the SWC Boys Golf Leaders after the opening two weeks of play. Through four rounds, Donegan has an average of 1.100. The senior posted an even par at Big Met last week and shot a 73 (+2) at the SWC Preview at Eagle Creek.
