Following contests on April 5th – April 11th, lacrosse players of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Lacrosse Player of the Week
Cami Whitsel (Jr)
Westlake
Westlake’s Cami Whitsel scored four goals for the Demons last week.
Male Lacrosse Player of the Week
Cam Wagner (Sr)
Avon
Wagner recorded eight goals and five assists in three games last week for the Avon Eagles, including a three goal and one assist performance against Kenston.
Other Notable Performances
Fabian Onativia (Jr), Berea-Midpark
Titans’ junior goalie Onativia had a great performance between the pipes on Saturday, stopping 26 of 32 shots on goal for an 81% save percentage in Berea-Midpark’s game with West Geauga.
