Amherst Steele’s boys basketball team completed a magical run to its first Southwestern Conference title in 29 years, finishing the year 16-3 and 14-2 in SWC competition. The Comets clinched a share of the title on February 12th when they defeated conference foe North Ridgeville 51-46 in regulation. Amherst Steele earned the title outright when Avon defeated Olmsted Falls (who was tied with Amherst Steele in the loss column) 47-40 on Monday night.
