Following gymnastic meets on January 18th-24th, the gymnast of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Olivia Scherma (Sr)
Westlake
Scherma was the top-scoring Demon gymnast at both of Westlake’s meets this past week. She led the Demons to a 1st place finish at Wednesday’s meet against Lakewood and Magnificat and placed 1st All-Around, 1st on vault, 1st on Beam, 1st on Floor, and 3rd on bars. At Sunday’s meet against North Olmsted, Chardon, Aurora, West Geauga, and Orange she again placed top 5 on every event and all around.
