Southwestern Conference Bowlers of the Week 1/4-1/10

Following bowling matches on January 4th-January 10th, bowlers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:

Female Bowler of the Week
Gabrielle Hansen (Sr)
Westlake

Hansen earns the award for the second straight week, as the senior Demon is on a tear this year.  She bowled games of 207 and 214 for a 421 series.  Hansen’s current season average is on pace to set a new Westlake school record.

Other Notable Performances

Halle Butler-Romweber (Sr), Avon Lake
The Eagle senior started with a game of 237 and followed with a 166 to finish with a 403 series this past week.

Laney Fouts (Sr), Berea-Midpark
In two matches this week, Fouts rolled a 380 series against Black River and a 336 series against Midview.

Male Bowler of the Week
Brenton Dill (So)
Avon

This is Dill’s second SWC Bowler of the Week laurels as the sophomore bowled games of 278 and 213 last week in Avon’s victory over Firelands for a series of 491.

Other Notable Performances

Josh Beitel (Jr), North Ridgeville
Beitel rolled games of 211 and 244 for a series of 455 last week for the Rangers.

Sammy Ellis (So), Berea-Midpark
Ellis helped the Titans go 2-0 on the week against Black River and Midview.  The sophomore rolled a 406 series (203/203) against Black River and followed up with a 459 series (257/202) against the Middies.
