Following swim meets on December 21st-27th swimmers and divers of the week for the Southwestern Conference were announced this afternoon. Below are this week’s honorees:
Female Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Elisabeth Davis (So)
North Olmsted
Davis set a personal best in her diving performance on the week, scoring 233 on her dives.
Other Notable Performances
Makenzie Black (Fr), Berea-Midpark
The freshman swimmer won both of her individual events (100 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly) and set personal records in her leg of the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle Relay, both second place finishes for the Titans.
Casey Schmidt (Sr), Olmsted Falls
Schmidt scored a season best score of 225.95 in diving to help the Bulldogs defeat Avon.
Male Swimmer/Diver of the Week
Justin Farmer (Sr)
Amherst Steele
Farmer won both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke while also being a member on the Comets winning 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay teams.
Other Notable Performances
Jacob Hoessle (Sr), Berea-Midpark
The senior swimmer for the Titans won the 200 Freestyle and helped Berea-Midpark’s 200 Freestyle Relay team to victory. Hoessle finished second in the 100 Backstroke and his 400 Freestyle Relay Team finished second against Amherst Steele.
Jackson Stump (Fr), Olmsted Falls
In his first varsity meet, Stump won both of his individual events and also anchored the Bulldogs’ winning 400 Freestyle Relay team.
