Following gymnastic meets on December 14th-20th, the gymnast of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:
Hockey Player of the Week
Carley Abbott (Sr)
Olmsted Falls
In Olmsted Falls’ opening competition, Carley Abbott won he all-around. The sophomore finished second on vault, third on bars, first on beam and second on the floor to help the Bulldogs win first place.
Other Notable Performances
Lydia Bubar (Fr), North Ridgeville
Bubar placed second in the all-around in her first high school meet. The freshman also placed third on vault, second on bars, second on beam and took first on the floor.
