Avon Earns Weekly Girls Basketball Player of the Week Award

Following games on December 14th-20th, the girls basketball player of the week for the Southwestern Conference was announced this afternoon. Below is this week’s honoree:

Avon
In three games this week, Liber is averaging 15.7 points per game.  The junior tallied 12 steals (4 spg), 20 rebounds (6.6 rpg), and six assists (2 apg) on the week as the Eagles went 2-1.

Other Notable Performances

Daylan Baker (Jr), North Ridgeville
The junior point guard averaged 15.3 points per game in North Ridgeville’s three games this week, including 46% from beyond the arc.  She scored 17 points in the Rangers’ victories over Amherst Steele and Avon Lake and dished out six assists in their loss to Berea-Midpark.

Paige Kohler (So), Olmsted Falls
The sophomore guard for the Bulldogs helped Olmsted Falls to a 3-0 week with victories over Avon, Avon Lake and Amherst Steele.  Kohler averaged 13.3 points per game, shooting 58% from the field and 50% from three point range while averaging three steals a game.
