Avon Lake Wins 2019 Southwestern Conference Boys Soccer Championship

Avon Lake earned its first Southwestern Conference Boys Soccer title since 2001, with a 3-2 victory over Olmsted Falls on Wednesday night. Avon Lake finished the conference portion of their schedule 8-1 on the year.

Liam Reutter opened the scoring for the Shoremen in the first 10 minutes, and senior Drew Del Guidice scored on a penalty kick in the 30th minute, giving Avon Lake a 2-1 edge leading into halftime. Del Guidice would net another goal off of a Spencer Chippi corner kick in the 74th minute to secure the title.
