2023 All-Southwestern Conference Girls Golf Honors

Avon High School senior Madigan O’Leary and Avon Lake senior Sarah Quayle were named the 2023 Southwestern Conference Co-Most Valuable Girls Golf Players following the conclusion of the SWC Girls Golf season.

Avon Lake High School Head Coach Krystine Frisch was selected 2023 SWC Coach of the Year.

The SWC awards six student-athletes first team honors and six more second team recognition in girls golf. Each school also gets two honorable mention.

Avon Repeats as SWC Girls Golf Champions in 2022

Avon High School secured the 2022 Southwestern Conference (SWC) Girls Golf Championship Wednesday (September 28) afternoon.

Avon compiled 43 points over the season by finishing first at the SWC Preview, second in the regular season with 12-2 record and winning the SWC Tournament. Avon Lake High School took runner-up in the team race with 42 points. The Shoregals placed second in the SWC Preview, went undefeated (14-0) in the regular season and finished second at the SWC Tournament. It is the second straight season the two rivals finished within one point of each other with the Eagles coming on top both times.

The overall team champion is determined 30% by the SWC Preview, 30% by the SWC regular season and 40% by the SWC Tournament.
